His Majesty's Government would be glad if ar-

rangements can be made for the co-operation of a

French financial group in this enterprise, but thay

would prefer to leave the settlement of the detalls

to the financiers of the two countries, They under-

stand that the cupital of the proposed British Company

is to be at the disposal of the British and Chinese

Corporation
